I chose the Athenian Culture because I believe that they worship the most important goddess out of all the gods and goddesses of Greece as their namesake. The Athenians worship Athena-- the goddess of wisdom and war. You're probably thinking "There's a Greek God of War-- Ares-- so why is she called the Goddess of War?" While he is a God of "War"-- that is Ares-- they both have their own meaning of "War". Ares is the god of courage bloodlust, and violence as his meaning of "War". Athena, on the other hand, is the Goddess of strategy, warcraft, and organized fighting as her meaning of "War". The reason why the Athenians took her name instead of his during battle us because they need a defensive strategy-- need a plan in general. Athena is then the Goddess of everything we think of as warfare even today. Furthermore, of the way we "attack" life, even today.
